I specialize in covering the economy and business as well as village communities. I’m happy to work with newspaper and website editors who commission stories and columns on these issues.
I have also been an editor for over 15 years and have written and edited reports for major international corporations. I help develop, produce and polish reports, articles and long-form stories.
I’ve been a newsroom trainer for over a decade teaching reporters and editors news reporting and writing skills. I’ve also taught courses at the Center for Excellence in Journalism at the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi and ran a year-long series of journalism workshops sponsored by the Arif Habib Foundation. I teach print and online journalism, media ethics, feature & profile writing, business & financial reporting, editing skills, interviewing techniques, multimedia journalism and data journalism. I also teach report writing skills to business professionals. I’ve taught dozens of journalists from organizations such as Bloomberg, Dawn Newspaper, The Express Tribune, GEO television, Business Recorder, Newsline Magazine, Pakistan Today, Pakistan Press International, The Daily Times and Samaa TV.
